Rudder Tab Wrench

gim-rudwrenchThis simple wrench has proven very useful for working in the confinements of the horizontal stabilizer through a small inspection door. Its specific use is for tightening the hex nut that connects the flexible drive shaft to 90 deg drive of the rudder tab mechanism on Model AT-7, AT-11, C-45, SWB, JRB, and Beech Model 18 airplanes.

This nut is accessible through the forward outboard inspection door on the left hand side of the horizontal stabilizer.
This "Gimmick" can be cut easily from quarter-inch steel plate, according to the dimensions on the drawing. gim-rudwrench-2
